Concrete Solutions Forum in Heraklion – Exploring the new reality of sustainable construction

INTERBETON continued its dialogue with the construction community by hosting the Concrete Solutions Forum in Heraklion on June 24, 2026, at GDM Megaron Hotel.

Under the theme “Construction is changing. Are you?”, the event brought together professionals from across the construction industry for an open discussion on the new requirements, rules, and opportunities shaping the future of the built environment. Through this initiative, INTERBETON further strengthened its connection with local markets and industry stakeholders, providing a platform for meaningful dialogue on the sector’s evolving needs.

The forum focused on the new reality in construction, addressing key issues such as EPBD and sustainability, increased requirements for service life, the need for evidence-based decision-making, and the reduction of technical and financial risk, with examples from the Greek market. The discussion highlighted how today’s construction sector is called to respond to a changing regulatory, environmental, and technical landscape with solutions that combine performance, durability, and long-term value.

The event featured presentations on how the EPBD impacts Greece and Europe in practice, along with INTERBETON’s advanced solutions for more efficient and resilient projects. Emphasis was placed on how VELTER and VIRIDIA can increase property value, how INTERPROOF Crystal enhances watertight construction while lowering risk and future costs, and how INTERSTEEL contributes to high-performance industrial floors. The forum also explored the architectural possibilities offered by ready-mix concrete, demonstrating how innovative materials and technical expertise can support more sustainable, efficient, and durable construction.

With participation from INTERBETON representatives and local construction industry professionals, the event fostered strategic dialogue, knowledge exchange, and enhanced collaboration within the sector. The forum ended with an open discussion and networking, enabling participants to share ideas and consider new perspectives for the future of construction.
