The upgrade of 14 regional airports across Greece, which began in 2015, is one of the largest projects of recent years, with an undeniably positive impact on the country’s tourism industry. The objectives of the upgrade were complex and particularly demanding, as they included establishing new standards for airport operation and management, developing and maintaining airport infrastructure, as well as expanding facilities where required.
INTERBETON participated in the construction of this highly complex project by supplying aggregates for asphalt paving and the development of outdoor areas, while specifically for the airport projects in Thessaloniki, Rhodes, and Kos, it also supplied ready-mix concrete.
