The floods that struck the city of Mandra in November 2017 caused extensive damage and, tragically, significant loss of life. Since 2018, the Region of Attica has been carrying out essential flood protection works in the area, for which INTERBETON Attica has undertaken the exclusive supply of concrete.
These are high-demand infrastructure projects, which INTERBETON was able to fully support in terms of both quality and equipment, particularly during peak construction periods that required a notably large number of concrete pumps and mixer trucks. The project included the construction of arterial roads, at-grade roundabouts, a transverse road network, as well as a bridge. In addition, the restoration of damaged areas with a continuous anti-slip pavement surface is planned, along with the construction of a retaining wall approximately 1.6 km in length to provide protection.
