Architecture Students from the University of Ioannina Visit The Ellinikon
As part of its Memorandum of Cooperation with the Department of Architecture, University of Ioannina (TAMI), INTERBETON welcomed 50 students to The Ellinikon on Thursday, April 30, accompanied by professors Katerina Kotzia, Korina Filoxenidou, and Andreas Nikolovgenis.

The students visited several construction sites within The Ellinikon, the largest urban redevelopment project in Greece, designed in collaboration with leading Greek and international architects. At the Metropolitan Park, they were briefed by Mr. Papadimitriou and the REDEX architects’ team; at the Little Athens neighborhood by Mr. Alexiou and the LAMDA team; and at the Riviera Galleria, Ms. Athanasiou of METKA presented the design approach and the development process.

The visit also included a tour of INTERBETON’s state-of-the-art concrete plant, operating within the Metropolitan Hub. Students had the opportunity to observe production processes up close and learn about the technologies and systems used in concrete manufacturing for such a large-scale project.

The day concluded at the Ellinikon Experience Centre, where students engaged in an interactive experience, exploring the vision, concept, and progress of the project through digital installations and curated content.
This initiative highlights INTERBETON’s commitment to connecting academic learning with real-world practice and supporting the next generation of engineers and architects who will shape the built environment of the future.
